I grew up in a town that celebrates its history as the birthplace of the American Revolution. Every year on Patriot’s Day there is a 5:00am reenactment, pancake breakfasts, and a huge parade.
My dad voted this morning and sent me his thoughts by email:
“I voted this morning at the Lexington Town Hall, and I never cease to find it inspirational to vote in that building with the lobby painting of the April 19, 1775 ‘What a Glorious Morning for America.’”
I care deeply about the outcome of this election and fiercely hope that this country will reelect President Barack Obama. But for right now, I am just so proud to have the privilege of voting.
